The History of the Farm
The Bachmann farm is situated 600 meters above the sea level. San Pietro Mezzomonte is a little residential neighbourhood of Velturno. Our farm was historically mentioned for the first time in the 13. century with the cquisition of Abbey of Neustift.
In 1428, Hans Pachmann acquired the farm and in 1828 the farm has been expanded. In 1956, the courtyard has expanded with a further building. Paul Mitterrutzner is the current owner of the farm and it was in 2007 when he came acroos the idea to built a holiday house, provided with modern furnishing. The farm has been managed with livestock and grain farming. In 1965 the farm began with the fruit cultivation which was intensified in 1972. In 1995, the livestock farming has been abandoned. Hospitality is something everyone at the Bachmann’s farm holds near. In 1965, the first guest rooms were built.
